The Wrecking Crew

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Music lovers will be astonished at the influence The Wrecking Crew wielded over rock and pop music in the 1960s and early 1970s. These unsung instrumentalists were the de-facto backing band on hit records by The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, The Monkees and many more. These dedicated musicians brought the flair and musicianship that made the American “West Coast Sound” a dominant cultural force around the world.

    I stumbled upon this movie, and I’m glad I did. What a great story! I attended MI/GIT back in the late 80’s , I was sitting in the cafeteria and this guy in a Greek fisherman’s hat and a goatee asks if he could sit with me. I said of course and introductions were made. This dumb rocker kid was sitting across from a guy that recorded music for everyone of my favorite tv shows and every pretty much everything that I grew up listening to , and I was too stupid to realize it. Even though I didn’t know his name, Tommy Tedesco was one of the nicest and funniest guys I ever had the pleasure of meeting at GIT.
    I’d like to thank his son for making this movie, I can’t stop watching it and I’ve told everyone that I know, that they need to watch it.
    Thank you for this.

    Its amazing to learn that the Wrecking Crew, were actually the band members of the so called bands we used to listen to…these musician's were the real deal. They actually were the Band.. like listening to the Traveling Wilberys the members of the best musician's an artist ever. To have the best of the best sitting in one room for a session. Playing every song you loved. Knowing they were the real musician's who actually performed those songs..amazing 👏to think the those bands were actually just an illusion is astounding… that the Wrecking Crew were those bands..just not seen..
    They no doubt made a lot of people a huge amount of money..that they all should've gotten a percentage of…

    It's my dream to be a session musician and it's such a hard thing to get into. It's the right place at the right time or you have to know somebody or it's just pure luck
